Airbrush Bride: Misty

I've been pushing aside updating this Blogger account for I am currently working on my new website and yes, moving to Wordpress too. I wanted new posts, especially makeover ones to be the main thing when I finally get it up. It just seems though, that the site's makeover will take awhile. So, here I am finally posting this long awaited makeover.

To my lovely "buena mano" bride Misty, thank you from the bottom of my heart for again trusting me to do yours and your family's makeover during this very special moment. Doing your makeup during your civil wedding almost 2 years ago is already very memorable. Doing it once again during your church ceremony feels all the more heart-warming. It kind of feels like a tap in the shoulder, and telling me that I'm really doing a good job. ;)
I'd like to also congratulate you and sir Leo for I know you are already expecting your little one and I'm sure that baby will be the cutest ever. God bless you and your family.

Post-nup: Maryknoll and Neil

The most beautiful smiles come from those who bear a growing life in them.
Meet my beautiful bride Maryknoll. I was very blessed to meet her and work with her and her husband for a post-nuptial shoot which we did in Manila.
Super thanks to the awesome photographer Mot Rasay for trusting my work and referring me to be part of the shoot.
Take a look at more beautiful photos after the jump...

Prenup: Mark & Elle

Credits to Cuenca Digitals for this photo
Mark is my (photographer) friend and so he commissioned me to help glam up her beautiful then-fiance Elle. =)

Elle is already naturally beautiful even before the makeup, but since the prenup would be outdoors and she prepared a handful set of clothes, might as well go for the full glammed up look. I gave her (of course) fresh flawless skin, daytime smokey, healthy looking flushed cheeks and a youthful lip color for the shoot.
A little side-note, I think she resembles Star Power Finalist K-La Rivera, right??? ^^

Elle's first outfit is that of the 1st photo. Side braids for the hair and a mix of fishtail braids and twists plus her cute jumper outfit makes for a cute youthful set of photos.
I just don't have a good shot from my own cam. But they've got a beautiful set and she changed up her clothes a couple of times and so I did different hairstyles too.
You need to see their lovely photos... Check 'em out after the jump. ;)

Dashing Bride - Joanne

It is another busy Tuesday for me. Our family is busy preparing for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of our publication's local weekly newspaper, AsianStar Express Balita.
I am very proud and happy to announce that Makeup and My World will also be published there starting from this week's issue. It will most likely have a similar content from what I post here in my blog too, it's just that it will be published and distributed locally. I'm definitely sharing more of that story on a different post.
Today's post though is another makeup makeover that I did. If you follow me on Instagram, you've most likely seen photos from this event already. :)
Meet my dashing bride, Joanne. She requested for a natural makeup look and willfully permitted. :)

Fresh Makeup for Entourage Beauties

Today's post is another set of makeover(s) I did over a week ago.
Meet my college friend Kimmi, who I've always been told looks so much like me. We've been called and mistaken to be the other one a number of times. We recalled how his then-boyfriend-now-husband who was also my classmate in one subject, got surprised I look so much like her. Haha! It was fun reminiscing and seeing her again with her lovely family.
Enough with my blabbering and let's get on with the makeover. ;)

Kimmi requested for curly hair and as I'm loving side-swept hair at the moment, I did a curly side-swept for her hair. I used a 1-inch curling iron to achieve tighter curls.

Renewal of Vows: Bride - Perla

Good morning beautiful people! =)
I have been truly busy with work the past week thus the lack of post. I'm being blessed to have more makeup work than I'd imagine and I am very thankful.
Last Saturday was a pleasure as I was tasked to help Tita Perla to prep up for her and Tito Monching's 25th Wedding Anniversary and Renewal of Vows. :)
She's my long-time friend Ingrid's mom. It was fun going back to their home, after over a decade. I used to always go there whenever we'd have projects to accomplish and dance and plays to rehearse. We all couldn't even believe time passed by that quickly.

Tita Perla, or Nanay as her children lovingly calls her (I swear I'd love my future children to call me that too, hehe!), has amazing skin to start with so doing her makeup was effortless. I prepped up her skin with my favorite combo Celeteque Hydration Moisturizer and Encara BB Cream. For added coverage, I used Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation in some areas.

My Turn for a Makeover ala Wedding Guest

Aside from doing hair and makeup for mom and my sister Myra, and grooming for my Kuya Re, I also did groom 2 guys, my Kuya JD and my nephew Ish (both part of the entourage), as well as makeup for my lovely sisters Ate Che and Ate Mich (Okay, I know I know...we are a family of 8 kids. hehe!) I wasn't able to take good photos anymore. We all were trying to do things as fast as we could. Hehe!

So that was a total of 4 ladies and 3 guys. :D

Well, I needed and wanted to slip in a few minutes of my time to do makeup for myself. I wished I had the luxury to do my hair as well but time was running and I didn't want to be late for the wedding. Haha! I started working at 9am and we left our prep place around 20mins before 2pm.

I think I did my makeup for less than 10 minutes and hair for just a few seconds. (seriously!)
Pardon the not so glamorous hair and the somewhat awkward I'm-holding-my-breath-pose but let me just instead share with you the list of products I used on myself that day... ;)

How I Groomed "The Groom"

Hey everyone! =)

I'm so happy to be blogging for the third day in a row! Feeling super masipag to share with you tidbits about my Kuya's wedding. :)

I've blogged about MOM's makeover, and that of my Ate Myra as the bridesmaid the past days.

Now, I will not only show you what my Kuya looked like, I'll tell you how I did it and show you the products I used so stay with me and read on.

Do you not notice a huge difference? Well, that's actually the point. ;)
What we want to achieve is a natural, flawless look using just the basic things so that we could avoid having an oil-slick face. This is especially important during weddings because thousands of photos will be taken even that of the groom.

Loveliest Bridesmaid Myra

This seems sort of a series about my Kuya's wedding. Hehe! But I hope you all are enjoying tidbits of the things I did, especially the makeovers. Check mom's makeover HERE.
Today, I'm sharing with you my sister's makeover.

Simple, light and fresh with romantic curly hair for my ate!

Mother-of-the-Groom Makeover for Mom

My brother finally tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart. Last weekend, my mom finally got the chance to walk the isle for her son's wedding. She's attended atleast 50 weddings as a godmother, I believe. (Bongga talaga ni Inay, in demand!) So this one is indeed very special for her! Of course, I would not let the chance pass and I assigned my self to do her hair and makeup. :)

Read on as I share how I did mom's makeover...

Makeover for Bridesmaid Maebz

Yesterday, I had the privilege to do another hair and makeup service for someone. Meet my client, Maebz who attended a wedding as a bridesmaid.
What's unusual about this gig is that, a client came over my place. Except for my family, this was a first. It was fun coz I get to setup my things here at home. hehe!
Anyways, read more if you want to see the transformation and some extra photos. ;)

Radiant Bride - Melissa

I apologize for being MIA the past week. I've been really busy with work. And also, the past days filled with heavy rainfall and flooding was quite devastating. Though my area wasn't affected, thank heavens, I've still been really worried by the ones who were victims of the calamity. That's besides the fact that we had a terrible internet connection the whole time it was raining hard. Let's just all hope, pray hard and extend help as much as we can, to those who are now in most need.
Today is a brighter day. And so I wanted to share with you another bridal makeover that I was again privileged to do.
Preps at Royale Tagaytay at 4am last Saturday =)
We had to come there the night before since they were having a morning wedding at Caleruega.

E-Session: Marlies and JR

Marlies and JR got recently engaged last May. And to celebrate that wonderful event, they wanted to do a couple shoot, not yet a pre-nup shoot since the wedding will still be scheduled and not yet soon.

Marlies is a 20 year-old Filipina-German who was just so awesome to work with. I actually got stunned by her beauty the moment I saw her. She's got beautiful brown eyes and just a lovely face no one would just pass.

Like most of my clients, Marlies requested for a natural look. Having such beautiful brown eyes, I picked up more on the plum colors to emphasize it further.
Subtle glowing skin using Encara BB Cream, set with powder, coral blush and lips plus highlight and bronzer. =)
I just realized after the shoot that this beautiful woman looks like actress Bea Alonzo!! Don't you agree with me?? She's super pretty in person and of course in photos...
Read more to check out more of her and JR's photos from the shoot..
