Prom Princess Yeyn

Prom season is still around the corner. Meet my 2nd Prom Princess, Yeyn. She is Sam's cousin...if you haven't seen my post about Sam's prom, read it here. Yeyn, was actually the first one to book her prom but had a later date - Feb 17. We met at Festival Mall Alabang around 2pm that day and went to their apartment at ParaƱaque to do her hair and makeup preparations. She sent me a photo of female celebrity Jessy Mendiola as her makeup peg and another photo with a messy up-do that she wanted for her hair.

Before and After. Yeyn's skin is a bit  oily so I prepper her skin very well. I used Celeteque moisturizer, L'oreal Base Magiue, L'oreal Trumatch Foundation and Encara BB Cream. We went for a Barbie-like look, which was similar to the photo she sent me beforehand.

Brows Before and After. Grooming the brows is very important especially to events where you'll be taking lots of photos. Doing it properly, frames the face and gives you that extra lift that is almost unnoticeable but makes a huge difference. I hope you can tell by comparing the two photos above. =)

To give her that messy hair up-do, I pin-curled her hair to set while doing the makeup, let loose after and then pinned it in style.

That's Tita Grace, Yeyn's mom, helping her daughter get dressed and putting on her jewelries. =) Such a sweet mom!

I LOVE her dress!!! Black and pink filled with sequins and glitters. She sure glittered that night of her prom. Her messy hair up-do matched her black long gloves with a vintage feel.

Yay!!! We took a quick snapshot before leaving their place. =)

Just when I arrived home, I received a text from Yeyn that she was nominated. Then when I woke up the following day, I got another text from her that she won Ms. Junior!!! Yay!!! I was soooo happy and I literally jumped out of my bed from excitement. =D Hihi! Congrats Yeyn! I will definitely update this post when I get actual photos from the event.

Whew! Doing prom makeup is really very special for me. I still look back at my JS Prom photos till now. I did my hair and makeup on my own but I wasn't as skilled as I thought I were when it was my time. I would have to think a million times if I'll share them with you! Hahaha!!!

How about you? Have you been to a JS Prom? How was it? =)

    1. Hi! Thanks for dropping by... =) As I've said, being nominated that night was already and enough honor for me as Yeyn's hair and makeup artist. What matters is that she was happy and blooming that time. =)

  5. Yeah she was. She's really pretty that time. I'm just concern about the girl who actually won the title, she red your post and she got a little bit mad about yeyn claiming the title. But whatever, it's already over. :) Thanks.

    1. I used a little L'oreal Trumatch liquid foundation mixed with Encara BB Cream. I used another layer of the BB cream for her under-eyes and the t-zone. You can see that those parts are brightened. =)

    1. Yes it's true! =) I will make an in depth review and also do's and don'ts for the Encara BB Cream. I've been using it for 2 years na kasi. I've been in a love-hate stage with it at first. I've come to know it's benefits and managed to maximize them on my clients. Hehe!
