Review: Charm Luxe Flat Top Brush

I've been thinking for days what to blog next... I realized I have posted lots of makeup makeovers and super plenty of hauls and oh boy you don't how much things I still have in my drawers that I haven't shown you yet. Hahaha! But I myself kind of want to change things up and thought I haven't done much reviews on the things I have, especially the ones I've been lovin' a lot. Well, this brush is topping my most loved products!

One of the first few things I posted here in my blog early this year was when I purchased my first Charm Brush. I got it on sale that time. (Read the unboxing post.)

6 Years of Love and Food Trippings

September 16, 2011
We agreed to write each other a letter as a gift for our 5th anniversary celebration last year.
"A year ago, we celebrated our 5th. It's been a whirlwind of everything... I've had a lot of the best times of my life with you. We've survived and breezed through vicious storms the past 6 years. And now, as we face and start our 7th year together, I promise to continue to love you and keep making a beautiful future together for us. I love you."

Beauty Bloggers United #1 Giveaway!

If you all have been following me and have read my blog in the past days and weeks or so, I've hinted that myself together with 5 other other beauty bloggers  have been cooking up a HUGE GIVEAWAY. Today is the day!

I am definitely a newbie in blogging so when Jannie of Jannieology invited me to be part of a Facebook group that she recently created called Beauty Bloggers United (BBU), I became so thrilled. It inspired me to be more active in updating this humble makeup blog that I do for a hobby. I met new friends and I am learning a lot of new things. (If you are also a beauty blogger, JOIN HERE.)

In this giveaway, 6 beauty bloggers from BBU, Jannie of Jannieology, Kai of KaiGrafia, Ana of Leaving Traces, Valerie of Ms Valerie Deoferio, Celline of Product Arena and of course, myself, decided to collaborate for the group's first giveaway.

I was  actually already planning to giveaway another set of Encara BB Creams but since this came up, I realized it was a better deal for all of you because aside from Encara, you will have the chance to win other prizes too.
FOUR (4) LUCKY READERS will be picked out to win these amazing sets of prizes! Yay!!!

My Turn for a Makeover ala Wedding Guest

Aside from doing hair and makeup for mom and my sister Myra, and grooming for my Kuya Re, I also did groom 2 guys, my Kuya JD and my nephew Ish (both part of the entourage), as well as makeup for my lovely sisters Ate Che and Ate Mich (Okay, I know I know...we are a family of 8 kids. hehe!) I wasn't able to take good photos anymore. We all were trying to do things as fast as we could. Hehe!

So that was a total of 4 ladies and 3 guys. :D

Well, I needed and wanted to slip in a few minutes of my time to do makeup for myself. I wished I had the luxury to do my hair as well but time was running and I didn't want to be late for the wedding. Haha! I started working at 9am and we left our prep place around 20mins before 2pm.

I think I did my makeup for less than 10 minutes and hair for just a few seconds. (seriously!)
Pardon the not so glamorous hair and the somewhat awkward I'm-holding-my-breath-pose but let me just instead share with you the list of products I used on myself that day... ;)

How I Groomed "The Groom"

Hey everyone! =)

I'm so happy to be blogging for the third day in a row! Feeling super masipag to share with you tidbits about my Kuya's wedding. :)

I've blogged about MOM's makeover, and that of my Ate Myra as the bridesmaid the past days.

Now, I will not only show you what my Kuya looked like, I'll tell you how I did it and show you the products I used so stay with me and read on.

Do you not notice a huge difference? Well, that's actually the point. ;)
What we want to achieve is a natural, flawless look using just the basic things so that we could avoid having an oil-slick face. This is especially important during weddings because thousands of photos will be taken even that of the groom.

Loveliest Bridesmaid Myra

This seems sort of a series about my Kuya's wedding. Hehe! But I hope you all are enjoying tidbits of the things I did, especially the makeovers. Check mom's makeover HERE.
Today, I'm sharing with you my sister's makeover.

Simple, light and fresh with romantic curly hair for my ate!

Mother-of-the-Groom Makeover for Mom

My brother finally tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart. Last weekend, my mom finally got the chance to walk the isle for her son's wedding. She's attended atleast 50 weddings as a godmother, I believe. (Bongga talaga ni Inay, in demand!) So this one is indeed very special for her! Of course, I would not let the chance pass and I assigned my self to do her hair and makeup. :)

Read on as I share how I did mom's makeover...

DIY: Color Your Hair at Home

Hello! How's everyone? I'm back home from our family's Nueva Ecija trip for my eldest brother's wedding. :)

I'm excited to share with you photos from that special event as well as makeup makeovers I did for my family. But for today, I'd like to share with you how I colored my hair. Did this as part of prepping up for our big family event. Hehe! Yes, I do color my own hair here at home. Always.
I've always had the problem of growing white grey hair. By always, I mean I've had it ever since I was in 2nd grade (elementary, 7 or 8 yrs. old). It's in the genes. I remember having my first ever hair color experience when I was in 3rd grade. Haha! We owned a salon back then so these things were always at hand. I've tried everything from those color squeeze tubes you buy from HBC/Hortaleza, huge tubs and bottles from salon suppliers, accessible ones from malls and beauty sections, henna, and even hair blackening shampoos that cost PhP10/each which you can buy at drugstores.

Stay with me as I share how I transform my not so lovely looking old man's hair to a more pleasant and feminine locks... hehe!

Rockin a Shorter Hair

Breather from my uber big long hair.
Finally went out to get a cut. Though I've only had a haircut 2 months ago. It's grown so fast that I feel like it wen out of control. My hair got super dry. I'm almost always too lazy to brush it. Haha! I just always put it up in a high bun.

Do you think short hair fits me? ♥ ♥ ♥

Amazing Divisoria and St.Francis Finds

Two weeks ago, I finally got to go back and visit Divisoria with my mom and sisters. Our main reason for going there was to purchase some fabrics for our dresses and gowns for my brother's wedding this coming weekend. But of course, I didn't miss the chance and picked up a few more things at amazing prices. hehe! Oh and I also included my haul for when I went to St. Francis Square a few days later.
Amazing products and deals! Read on for more photos and prices... ♥ ♥
