Review: Charm Luxe Flat Top Brush

I've been thinking for days what to blog next... I realized I have posted lots of makeup makeovers and super plenty of hauls and oh boy you don't how much things I still have in my drawers that I haven't shown you yet. Hahaha! But I myself kind of want to change things up and thought I haven't done much reviews on the things I have, especially the ones I've been lovin' a lot. Well, this brush is topping my most loved products!

One of the first few things I posted here in my blog early this year was when I purchased my first Charm Brush. I got it on sale that time. (Read the unboxing post.)
Charms says:
Want instant full coverage? Say no more, as the Charm Essential Flat Top Brush will give you that effect. enjoy its density as it buffs in more than a regular powder brush, and enjoy its softness while glides on your skin. Also perfect for applying bronzer!

This Charm Flat Top Brush, being my first ever Charm brush sure does gave the best first impression for a local brand. It is dense, soft to touch and soft on the skin, delivers even and full coverage and buffs the foundation on to the skin like a dream.
It is lightweight and easy to grab. It has a light pink handle which I love and that makes it a standout in my collection.

This has become my all-time favorite and go-to brush when applying liquid foundation, ever since I got it. You will notice in the picture above, that the brand's text print has slightly  faded. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just goes to show how much I've used this.

Full and dense brush that provides the softest feel on my skin yet delivers full coverage. I use this to buff the foundation on to the skin in a circular motion.

The brush is made of vegan bristles, according to Charm's Multiply site.
The white part is thinner than the brown-black bristles pf the rest of the brush bristles.
These white bristles, I believe, helps give off the smooth finish when applying makeup on to the skin.

I've also tried using this one as a multi-purpose brush. It can transition as a brush for liquid foundation, powder-setting, blush, bronzer and even contour.
What I usually do is stipple on the product to the skin to deposit color for foundation and blush and then run it in a circular motion to buff. I use the corner of the flat brush to apply contour and the surface to buff and blend.
The silver ferrule connecting the handle and the bristles is very sturdy, thus assuring me I'd not have any fallouts.
Although I do worry that the bristles grab onto cream products. I am not entirely sure what happened, but when I tried using this with cream foundation, the product got inside the bristles closest to the ferrule. I've tried cleaning it out with olive oil and warm water and then some anti-bacterial wash but it doesn't come out. I am worried this will have an effect of the life span of this brush on me. I hope not.

Charm's Washing Instructions:
Run the bristles of the makeup brush under warm running water. Apply a small amount of shampoo /  baby wash to bristles and work into a lather. Rinse bristles thoroughly under running water until water becomes clear. Squeeze off excess water then lay the brush flat to dry (not standing up). Leave in a well-ventilated place to dry.

After a long time of using this, I've chanced upon the first bristle to "almost fallout". See that one bristle at the upper thirds of the white part of the flat top brush? I've tried tugging it out but it still is holding very well. This brush is truly sturdy!

This brush is a little shorter than a regular pen, but chubby and sturdy enough making it still easy to grab and hold.

I love this brush! I would definitely purchase more to give out as gifts to my family (when I have the budget, hahaha!)
This is an excellent performer in my kit and has Charmed everyone I've used it on. ;)
A definite must-have for Pros and makeup enthusiasts alike.
The PhP 600 price tag on this brush is a steal for its quality and performance.

Side story:
I remember meeting Ms. Sophie, owner of Charm, last February during the Cosmetologie 2012 event and being starstruck. Haha! She was so sweet and accommodating. I made sure to tell her that instant how much I love the brush I got from her just a few weeks before. That love made me purchase another brush that day and still making me *love* (actually, drool over) all the brushes from Charm. hehe! I'm such a fan!

Thank you all for reading! Hope this review helped you out in some ways.
